At the Allegria Village senior living community in Dearborn, residents do more than play cards and create art projects.

They help save the planet. Specifically, in this case, the watershed area of the Rouge River.

With assistance from the Friends of the Rouge organization, on Aug. 1 about 20 Allegria Village residents helped establish a rain garden on their community’s property.
